Mike Byers was born and raised in central Ohio and now calls Pataskala home.                 He and his wife, Brenda, have two children (that's one of each).

Mike's been involved in music all of his adult life and has been affiliated with The Challengers for over 20 years, becoming its co-owner a couple of decades ago. Michael is the main voice in the shows and recordings of the band.  In addition to singing and playing bass guitar, he also serves as transportation consultant (which means he drives and maintains the band's bus). Rumor has it that he was a stunt driver in a former life.

Mike also owns a small contractor business and enjoys most sports -- but particularly NASCAR racing, bowling and golfing. On his days away from the road you can often find him and his brother, Robin, tinkering on one of their corvettes at Mom and Dad's farm.
